  • Hours: Open daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Off-leash: Only inside the fenced dog park, once the entrance gates are fully closed behind you. Everywhere else, the Phoenix leash law applies at all times.
  • Two sides: There’s a small-dog park and a large-dog park. Pick the small side for little or nervous pups.

  • Inside the fence: No food, smoking or alcohol, and no grooming. Clean up with the mitt dispensers and bins along the fence.

Tips

  • Phoenix heat is no joke. In warm months go early in the morning or after sunset, and test the pavement with your hand: if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws.
  • Fall through spring is the sweet spot for midday visits.
  • The wider park has restrooms, shade structures, drinking fountains and picnic areas, so it’s easy to turn a dog park stop into a longer, leashed stroll.
  • First dog park visit? Wait near the gate for a minute and let your pup sniff hello through the fence before going in.

What to pack: 6-ft leash, bags, plenty of fresh water and a bowl, a cooling towel in hot weather, and a secure harness.
