Spring Canyon Dog Park is a happy, roomy spot on the west side of Fort Collins, tucked right up against the foothills. It’s a fenced off-leash area of a couple of acres with a big seasonal pond for splashing, fun cement tubes to run through, and a separate side for small or shy pups. Bring a towel: water-loving dogs usually come home soggy and smiling.
Rules can change. Always check the City of Fort Collins Spring Canyon Park page, the city park rules and the posted signs before you go.

Tips
- The pond is seasonal, so it may be low or dry at times. If your dog loves to swim, check the signs or the city page before you head out.
- It’s dirt and gravel, which means dusty paws on dry days and muddy paws after rain. Keep a towel and a little water in the car.
- Summer sun is strong at this altitude. Go in the morning or evening and give your pup shade and water breaks.
- Want a leashed hike after? Pineridge Natural Area is right next door with trails around a small reservoir. Some Fort Collins natural areas (like Coyote Ridge and Bobcat Ridge) don’t allow dogs at all, so check before you go.
- First dog park visit? Pause by the gate for a minute and let your pup sniff hello through the fence before going in.
What to pack: 6-ft leash, bags, fresh water and a bowl (in case the fountain is off), a towel and a secure harness.
